Tiverton Market Celebrates Local Independents and American Independence Day with Electric Nights!
Posted on: 29 June 2015
Electric Nights Streetfood returns to Tiverton Market on Saturday 4 July at 5:30pm for its second event of the year.
The event comprises a number of street food vendors offering food and alcoholic beverages as well as live music and activities for children.
Richard Chesterton, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration, said “June’s streetfood event attracted almost 4,000 visitors and brought a welcoming, feel-good, fun evening out for all the family in our town centre. This month, in celebration of American Independence Day (and in support of our local Independents), traders are applying an American twist to their menus.”
Following the raft of positive feedback from visitors, July’s event promises to be bigger with stalls expanded into both sides of the Market and up by Market Walk. Additional seating has been provided by Tiverton Portas Company and Petroc College although anyone who wishes to bring their own camping chairs or picnic blankets is encouraged to do so.
We have twenty-three traders lined up, offering quality local produce including additional alcohol and cake sellers. SoundS Entertainment will start the evening with the United States National Anthem, followed by DJ sets of American themed music. Local bands The Seagulls and Byzantium Lane will be performing and Tiverton group The Cowgirl Twisters will lead a line dancing session at 7:30pm.
Free Parking will be available during the event at Tiverton Market and William Street Car Parks.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Electric Nights event at Tiverton Market on Saturday 4 July.
