Phase 2 refurbishment works at St Andrew Street and Ham Place, Tiverton

Refurbishment works to the Council-owned buildings at St Andrew Street and Ham Place, Tiverton will be commencing on Monday 15 September 2014, creating 14 affordable homes. The contractor undertaking the refurbishment is Enelco, based at Newton Abbott, and the works are anticipated to take 11 months. This will include the demolition of 1 and 2 St Andrew Street to enable access for the development of the riverside land by McCarthy and Stone which will be commenced at a later stage.

Initially, Enelco will occupy the former youth centre building as a site office and a compound area within the car parking area will be erected.

Vehicular access to Ham Place, the adjacent garages and a pedestrian thoroughfare will be retained for those owners who currently use the area. All local residents and businesses have been informed.
