Parking spaces in new developments – have your say

Parking consultationLack of spaces in new development has led to parking on footpaths

Posted on: 8 April 2013

Many people have told us that there hasn’t been enough parking in some recent developments, or that the parking provided isn’t used as originally intended.

What is the Council doing about it?
We’re preparing new guidance for developers and those making planning decisions on the level of parking to be provided in new development. The draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets a minimum level of parking to be provided, design advice on how parking should be incorporated into new development and guidance on visitor spaces, disabled parking, garage sizes and cycle parking.

Where can I find out more information?
The SPD and other associated information can be viewed online at www.middevon.gov.uk/spd at reception at Council offices or at Mid Devon public libraries during normal opening hours.

How do I comment?
