New affordable homes coming to Palmerston Park and Birchen Lane Tiverton

Work is due to start to prepare the site for 26 affordable homes at Palmerston Park and 4 affordable homes at Birchen Lane, in Tiverton. The two developments will be built by Pemberton Homes and will deliver the following housing mix.

2 x 4 bed houses

The Council successfully bid for £1,170,000 of funding from the HCA Affordable Homes 2015-18 programme to help with the cost of building the Palmerston Park development and a further £80,000 funding towards the Birchen Lane development.

All the homes will be for affordable rent which is 80% of market rent value and will be owned, managed and allocated by Mid Devon District Council. An official start on site ceremony will be held later this month.
