Mid Devon Leisure Open Day – Saturday 19 October

Posted on: 10 October 2013

A day of free activities and special offers for everyone 60 years young at your local Mid Devon Leisure centre.

Mid Devon Leisure Centres offer a range of facilities and activities for everyone aged 60 years + and staff will be showcasing these on Saturday 19th October. Each centre is hosting an Open Day when staff will be available to show you around, welcome anyone 60+ to use the facilities free of charge, offer advice on keeping fit and healthy and offer some unbeatable deals on Zest Membership. For example, during October the 60+ Annual Off Peak Zest Membership is available for just £170.00 (for a full 12 months inclusive membership).

There will be free swimming and classes for those 60 years+ as well as other free activities such as badminton, table tennis and short mat bowls. There is also the opportunity for mini health assessments by the fitness staff. With information, advice and a chance to win a free 6 month membership at each centre, this is an opportunity not to be missed if you are 60+ or have a family member or friend of that age.

Lee Chester, Centre Manager at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre said;
“Come along and see what is on offer for anyone you know who is aged 60+. We have sociable sessions, racquet sports, exercise classes, swimming lessons and gym workouts. We offer opportunities to keep fit and healthy, relax and simply just to socialise. Our Zest Memberships will help you to achieve your personal goals whatever they are and it is generally known that taking regular exercise adds years to your life and keeps you feeling young! We’d love to help you to do that and you may even win 6 month’s free membership by coming in on the 60+ Open Day and entering our free draw.”

The three leisure centres will be open as usual to all customers, the special Open Day activities and offers (that will vary at each centre) being available to the 60 years+ age group.
