At a recent Mid Devon Community Awards ceremony, four apprentices from Mid Devon District Council were nominated for ‘Apprentice of the Year’.  Councillor Clive Eginton, Leader of the Council, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and although none of them were the overall winner it is recognition of the very high standard of apprentice the Council currently has.”  Stephen Walford, Chief Executive, added: “The quality of the apprentices the Council has employed in recent years has been very, very high and on most occasions we are pleased to be able to offer full time employment to them at the end of their apprenticeship.  We currently have a great team who are working together on a project to recommend improvements across all services.  Their fresh approach and enthusiasm is a real credit.”
