Hitchcocks Business Park in Willand beat a number of the South West’s best construction and property development businesses to win in the ‘Best Commercial Development’ category at the annual RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) award ceremony in Bristol on 17 May 2018. The awards recognise the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure in the South West and saw over 40 businesses competing for eight individual categories.
Richard Persey, Director of Hitchcocks Business Park, says “We are delighted to have received the prestigious commercial award from the RICS in recognition of the high quality, modern business accommodation and facilities at Hitchcocks Business Park.
“Hitchcocks Business Park’s success is a combination of input from our valued stakeholders. In particular, Tim Western from JLL international property consultants and the team at Mid Devon District Council whose knowledge and expertise have made the site what it is today. It is proof that a developer and forward thinking Local Authority can work together to achieve another successful development for Mid Devon. We are looking forward to working together in the future.”
Richard Chesterton, Mid Devon District Council’s Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration, said “This is a great honour for one of our local businesses, which has an impressive track-record in creating employment space and new jobs in the district. This is an example of significant investment and confidence in Mid Devon as a great place to do business.”
The South West winners will go on to compete against other regional winners at the National RICS Awards Grand Final in November 2018 in London, for the chance to be crowned the overall UK winner in their respective category.Posted in: Business & Economy
