Lifeline Alarm Service available to all Mid Devon residents

The Lifeline Alarm Service provides health care technology which helps older people or those with long-term health needs live an independent life at home.   Our technology provides peace of mind to people who may need support and reassurance for relatives who may be concerned about them.

As well as helping people to maintain their independence in their own homes, it can also help to prevent them from becoming victims of distraction burglaries or bogus callers.  Our highly trained operators can provide advice on what to do in situations such as these and, if necessary, call the Police if there are any concerns.

The Lifeline Alarm Service works via a special alarm unit connected to the telephone line.  It has a built in button which can be pressed to summon help.   Pendants can also be provided to be worn around the neck or on a wristband which can be used to activate the alarm from anywhere in the house or garden.  Fall detectors and other equipment can also be provided to be used in conjunction with the alarm unit.

Specialist equipment at the Call Centre allows staff to see who is calling and they can talk to the client through the equipment rather than by telephone.  In an emergency they will call relatives and/or friends who have been chosen by the client and, in the case of a medical emergency, they will call for an ambulance.

The Lifeline Alarm Service is available to all Mid Devon residents of any age.  There is a small installation fee and a competitive quarterly charge for the service, which includes the rental of the alarm, the year-round monitoring service and any repairs to the alarm (including replacement, if necessary).

We can also provide other services to those over 55, including  electrical and  building works, plumbing, adaptations and keysafes.   We use our own tradespeople, so you can be reassured that they are trustworthy and reliable.
