Landlord Networking Event is well received!

Posted on: 13 November 2017

The Council’s Private Sector Housing team introduced its first ever landlord networking event at Muddifords Court Country House on Wednesday evening, 8 November.

The event was held to encourage regeneration and positive investment in the local housing market and the feedback from delegates and exhibitors so far, indicate it was very well received.

Approximately 130 people attended to network and learn about the development and management of rental properties.

The evening’s line up included a personal account of the property market from BBC’s Escape to the Country presenter Jules Hudson. Workshops covering property auctions and electrical safety were provided by BBC’s Homes under the Hammer regular and South West Auctioneer Graham Barton and NAPIT Business Relationship Director Ian Halton.

There was also a selection of stands from local businesses and services providing professional advice and information for attendees.

Comments from attendees at the close of the evening included:

  • “Brilliant event keep doing what you’re doing”
  • “Very useful event thank you”
  • “Very informative”
  • “Great event, thoroughly enjoyed it”
  • “Very good will recommend to colleagues”
  • “Excellent and well organised”

The Private Sector Housing team offers it’s thanks to all who attended and in particular, the speakers, exhibitors and Muddifords Court Country House for hosting the event. There was overwhelming support for similar events in the future and the team have now confirmed they’ll be holding their next event in September 2018.
