Following the announcement in April, Jobcentre Plus is set to move location into it’s new local authority premises at Phoenix House, Tiverton. The new premises, which will be a one stop shop for jobseekers, will open its doors for the first time on Tuesday, 29 November.

Stephen Walford, Chief Executive of Mid Devon District Council, said: “This collocation has been achieved by making the most effective use of our offices at Phoenix House and by doing so we will be providing services for our customers in one place, achieving efficiencies across the wider public sector property estate.”

Michelle Maslen, Jobcentre Plus District Manager for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset said:  “The new offices are well designed and will provide a good working space for our staff and a comfortable and practical location for our customers. Working in partnership with Mid Devon District Council has been very successful and together we have been able to provide improved accessible services for  the public and value for money for taxpayers.”
