Into Gin and Jazz? Don’t miss Tiverton’s second ‘Electric Nights’ streetfood market of 2019

Tiverton’s second night market of 2019 takes place this Saturday, 1st June and has a Gin and Jazz theme.

The multi award-winning event run at Tiverton Pannier Market hosts a wealth of streetfood, crafts, artisan goods and drinks from across the South West, as well as live music and entertainment for the whole family.

A range of culinary delights will be available for people to try; from gourmet burgers, Sri Lankan curry, Asian dumplings, a dedicated vegan stall and so much more! Debuting this month’s event is ‘That’s Nacho Burrito’, which offers wholesome Mexican streetfood combined from locally sourced quality ingredients and a new vegan dessert stall ‘Dough Eyes’, providing delicious homemade vegan doughnuts.

The Gin and Sin Co will be serving gin from their converted horsebox bar! There will also be a selection of artisan goods stalls, including locally produced crafted goods and food to take away.

Musical entertainment will commence at 6:00pm with solo performer Louise Cliff, followed by the Riviera Ramblers jazz band. TCR radio will be supporting the acts and compering the event as previously. Local group Cheer Dance will be performing one of their choreographed dance routines, and both children and adults alike can enjoy watching a Punch and Judy show from the brilliant Puppetree, with two half-hour shows at 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

Alan Ottey, Town Centre and Market Manager said:

“Following the success of our first Electric Nights event of the year in May, the June event takes on a different theme, this being Gin and Jazz. Both these are very popular, so it has the makings of a great evening. In addition, the Gin and Sin Co and the Prosecco bar will be available from lunch time, spreading the time of the event to link it with the normal Saturday market.  The idea is to make it a special day throughout and encourage people to support local businesses.

“What better way to start the month of June than making a visit to Electric Nights, being entertained in a friendly atmosphere whilst supporting our local businesses”.
