Changes to customer service in Crediton

From 1 April, we are sorry to say that we will no longer be able to see customers in person at our Market Street offices in Crediton. For many years we have provided a much-valued community service here, but we simply are no longer able to afford to do this.

Our team of ladies in the office are currently helping customers to plan for the change, for example by providing information on how to make a payment in the Post Office, online or over the phone. We will do our best to let all our customers know about other ways of contacting us for advice and information about our services. The building will continue to be a vital community hub and we are working with the Town Council to make the transition as smooth as possible. They will still be based in the building and will be able to signpost customers to the right organisation to deal with their enquires after our staff have left. The CAB and the Local Community Transport Group will also still operate from there.

The decision to close our Crediton base has not been taken lightly and is part of a range of cost savings we are having to make to deal with continuing cuts to our overall budget.
