North and Mid Devon’s Building Control Officer Rose Murphy has won an award in recognition of her commitment to customers and her team.

The Superstar awards are presented annually by LABC (Local Authority Building Control), a not-for-profit membership organisation representing all Local Authority Building Control teams in England and Wales.  The awards celebrate and recognise individuals  who go that extra mile to support their colleagues, delight their customers and protect the public.

The awards are split into three categories; Superstar Winner, Highly Commended and Rising Star.  Following nomination and being shortlisted, Rose was awarded Superstar Winner for the South West Region, the highest award available,  by demonstrating performance above and beyond the call of duty.

Rose, who was recently promoted to Technical Support Team Leader, was presented with her award at the 2018 LABC Members Conference Gala Dinner in Leicester on 12 March.

Building Control Partnership Manager, Mike Tucker, said:

“Rose has demonstrated an outstanding level of commitment to maintaining customer service throughout the implementation of the Building Control Partnership and the roll out of our new ICT systems.  Rose not only ensured the customer experience was maintained but also actively sought out and implemented solutions that have helped shape and develop the service, enabling us to be stronger moving forward”.
