Budding Young Artists in Mid Devon

The Housing Service organised a Children’s Colouring Competition in their latest edition of their newsletter for council tenants – Housing News 4U. We invited children to colour in a picture of a spring chick with the winning pictures being printed in our next newsletter and all the entries being displayed in our reception area of our Council Offices at Phoenix House, Tiverton.

We received 38 entries and the Editorial team, consisting of tenants, selected the 3 winners. Each winner received a £10 High St gift voucher, a small gift and a certificate for their picture. However, the entries were all so good the Editorial Team agreed that all the entries deserved a certificate of achievement and a small gift.

The children along with their families, were invited to Phoenix House, where Councillor Ray Stanley, Cabinet Member for Housing, presented the children with their prize.

Councillor Ray Stanley welcomed children, parents and relations to the event. He congratulated the children on their artistic flair and said it was a privilege to present the awards today.
