Birthday celebrations all this week

Culm Valley Sports Centre’s week of 30th birthday celebrations started last Saturday with the official opening of the refurbished fitness studio and reception areas.

Cutting the ribbon was Chairman of the District Council, Councillor John Berry, who was supported by fellow councillors Eileen Andrews, Terry Snow and Bob Deed, together with staff and customers.

This was followed by cutting the birthday cake (kindly baked by Duty Manager Kelly Lee) and a social gathering of long standing centre members and staff.

Other events included a penalty shoot-out, a family play session, a ballet display (with special guest Armband Alfie) and a family mix session.

Duty Manager Carole Jolliffe, who organised the whole day, said that she was delighted with the number of people who came along to join in. More birthday celebrations are planned throughout this week so get along to the Centre in Cullompton to join in the birthday fun.
